The Salzkammergut is a paradise for mountain bikers. From relaxed family rides to long tours for the fit — around Bad Goisern everyone finds their favourite loop. Here are five signposted tours you can ride straight from the villa.
1. Family tour to the Chorinsky-Klause
Along the Soleweg straight from the villa to Weißenbach, then the Weißenbach loop (S314): 20.6 km and 290 m of climbing through the Weißenbach valley, past the historic Chorinsky-Klause log dam.
2. East-shore cycle path on the Hallstättersee
11 km, almost flat, with a dream view across to Hallstatt. Return the same way or combine it with the train or boat – there is no cycle path on the west shore.
3. Kriemoosalm loop (S238)
Uphill on an old cart track – with a beautiful view of the Hallstättersee.
4. Hoisnrad tour (S470)
32.5 km and 800 m of climbing, mostly on forest roads, via the Hütteneckalm to Bad Ischl.
5. Trophy training route F (S422)
38.6 km and 1,040 m of climbing: the loop around Goisern for the fit, in the tracks of the Salzkammergut Trophy.
