With slightly less ambience but definitely the best pastries, rolls and bread in Bad Goisern. That’s what is offered at this local café which is owned and run by our baker “Leitner Kurti” at “Baumhaus”. “Baumhaus” (translates to Treehouse) is a multi-functional business-building on the main road next to “Spar” supermarket which also houses a pharmacy and a sports-shop. The café offers various breakfast-combinations, a bakery shop as well as hot meals. You can enjoy your breakfast inside or outside.
Bakery "Café Maislinger"

Centrally located in Bad Goisern, opposite the municipal office, is the so-called “Culture-Café Maislinger”. In addition to pastries, rolls and bread the café is also highly recommended for its culinary offering, not limited to breakfast and brunch but also for its excellent hot dishes. At the rear side of the building is a cosy outdoor beer-garden.

Weissenbachwirt is particularly famous for its big dumplings which apparently are the biggest ones served in Bad Goisern.
Seeraunzn

Idyllically snug on the shore of Lake Hallstatt, “Seeraunzn” is a pub located at “Ostuferweg” (a public footpath on the East side of Lake Hallstatt). The small pub is open during the months of April through to the end of October and offers excellent traditional Austrian food. We particularly recommend the various fish-dishes and the tasty fried chicken. The pub can be reached by car, on foot, by bike or if arranged in advance, even by boat!
Jausenstation Rassingmühle

A “Jausenstation” is a specific kind of typical Austrian pub and translates to “small eatery offering simple and rustic food”. Close to Sophienbruecke (Sophien-Bridge) is the very traditional Rassingmuehle. Snacks and drinks are served here which is considered Bad Goisern’s most beautiful beer-garden, located directly at river “Traun”. The pub is in one of Bad Goisern’s oldest houses.

Rathlucken Huette

If you head up the windy road on Goisern’s sunny side towards “Wurmstein”, you’ll find restaurant “Rathlucken Huette”. It’s also a great starting point for one of Goisern’s easy to access hiking paths that leads to “Ewige Wand”. The dishes at Rathlucken Huette are excellent – hot food as well as cold snacks are offered.
Moserwirt Hotel and Restaurant

Good traditional Austrian food as well as one or two creative dishes await you at Hotel Moserwirt. The hotel and restaurant are in the old centre of Goisern at “Kirchengasse”. In Summer the outdoor beer-garden offers a pleasant and quiet ambience. We recommend the daily set lunch menu that comprises of 3 courses and a drink at an excellent price.

Centrally located, at the bank of river “Muehlbach”, is Goisererhof restaurant. Good traditional Austrian food and a generous salad bar at an excellent price in nice surroundings, that’s what makes this restaurant so special.

Located between Unimarkt and the Evangelical church is Pizzeria Peppone. Due to its proximity to Villa Salzweg it’s convenient to get there on foot or to order a pizza to take out. A tasty salad bar, as well as pizza and pasta are offered there.

Werkstattbeisl (translates to workshop-pub) is the most traditional pub in the village and is in the inner courtyard of Castle Neuwildenstein at the market square.
Very often there is live music (“split the week” on a Wednesday), cold snacks as well as beer from Attersee brewery. During the warm summer months, the inner courtyard of Castle Neuwildenstein serves as an outdoor beer-garden with spectacular flair. On some days there’s a special culinary offering from the nearby located Kredenz snack-bar.
Hades Bar

Hades bar is the trendiest bar in the village, built in an old vault cellar. It offers cool music, nice cocktails, a cosy seating area and is popular with the youngsters and the older generation alike. It also has a darts and billiard games area.
