Forget the Hallstatt-tourist souvenirs. Real take-homes from the region: cheese, bacon and schnapps directly from local farmers — at the weekly market on the market square or at Vieh Helis’ 24h self-service shop.
In the Hand.Werks.Haus: loden caps, wood carvings, wool slippers from local craftspeople. Maislinger bread to freeze at home, smoked char from the fisherman.
