The Inner Salzkammergut, especially Bad Goisern, are to be considered a true mountain-bike Eldorado. You can explore hundreds of kilometres of different routes on paved logging roads at all levels of difficulty.

E-bikers have the choice to hire an e-bike and even re-charge it at one of the many mountain chalets if they fancy a more extensive route.

In July, Bad Goisern hosts the annual mountain-bike trophy, Austria’s largest mountain-bike race. Every year it attracts thousands of starters from around the world who want to participate in this very special challenge. There are different racecourses, categories etc. to ensure there is something for everybody.

In Bad Goisern you will find everything a mountain-biker’s heart may wish for, including two bike repair shops and hiring stations, an Idler gear manufacturer (Pancho Wheels) as well as bike guiding or technique training inclusive of rental bikes with Electric Flow.

Villa Salzweg is an ideal base camp for your mountain bike or e-bike trip. For our guests we offer a locked bike shed as well as the possibility to re-charge your e-bike batteries. For your convenience, there is also a bike-washing facility in front of the house.

The central location of the house is an ideal starting point, and you can access the different routes that Bad Goisern and the Inner Salzkammergut offer within a short period of time.
