Golf has a long tradition in the Salzkammergut: as early as 1933 the Salzkammergut Golf Club was founded in Bad Ischl — a meeting place of Central European high society. Today you find two very different courses within 20 minutes by car, both surrounded by mountains and with reliably groomed greens.

Booking, greenfees & if you’re a beginner

Both courses only take reservations with handicap proof — without a platform certificate you land on the driving range (€15 per hour at the Salzkammergut Golf Campus, clubs included). Ausseerland is more family-style: 9 holes possible without a card, just call ahead.

Greenfees from about €70 for 18 holes, depending on day and season. For beginner courses: the academy in Bad Ischl under Franz Laimer is the address.
